The Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet is a popular event with an average attendance of 500 or more. The event begins with live music and a catered dinner with plenty of time for networking. The program includes a brief speech from the outgoing and incoming Chamber presidents, award recognition for Business of the Year, New Member of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Volunteer of the Year Spirit, Volunteer of the Year Momentum and Vision recipients and the scholarship presentation, followed by the keynote speaker.
Nathan Self is a native of China Spring, Texas, former U.S. Army officer and author. Self graduated from West Point in 1998. After becoming an Infantry officer, Self deployed to Kosovo and was then selected to serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Dinner catered by George's will include sliced roast beef with brown gravy, green beans, baked potato casserole, rolls, spring salad with vinaigrette dressing, chocolate pie and raspberry swirl cheesecake, tea and water.
